The Deserter

Story: The story is set during the American Revolution in the late 1700's, when America fought for it's independence from Britain. A loyal British drummer, one of the thousands of British soldiers stationed in America, accidently drops his canteen into a stream while trying to fill it with water. A British officer sees the drummer chasing his canteen and mistakes him as a deserter running away through the woods. The officer quickly orders some soldiers after him. The drummer, after catching up to his canteen gets lost in the woods and can't find his way back to the British encampment. Things go from bad to worse for the drummer when it comes to his attention that he is being hunted down for execution as a deserter.
