Welcome to the Art of War - The War Movie Poster Reserve. This site is devoted to the advertising artwork from war films, or films that are primarily military based. I am trying to include as many images of this genre as I can, while also trying to present the best possible photographs that I can. The gallery at this point is weighted more towards the movies of the 50s through 70's, and consists of primarily World War II films, but I hope to include a wider range of films in date and genre soon.

One of my favorite genres of film is the war movie. When I first began to collect movie posters from these films, however, I could rarely find any reference material that allowed me to view the images of the posters before I'd buy. I could find many images of Western, Science Fiction, Horror, or Academy Award winning movies, but it was nearly impossible to find images of most war films. And many of the war films have wonderful artwork, but because of their lesser popularity as a genre, are not as visible to the public. So this site is meant to be a source of reference for many of the war movie posters that never make it into the poster books.

I've tried to include as much information about the posters as I can, including the poster year, NSS number, and country of origin, and am trying to be as accurate as possible. If you notice any incorrect information, please let me know at:
